In 2011, the children of Gaza broke the world record for the largest number of kites flown simultaneously. On the coast of Gaza, 12,350 children filled the Gazan blue skies with messages of hope.
Since October 2024, 18,000 children have been killed in Gaza. This number grows every day.
This August, thousands of small kites will be created and displayed, to remember and honour the Palestinian children who have been murdered by the Israeli genocide in Gaza. Local people and groups will be invited to make kites to form part of the exhibition.
