Derry’s leading community arts festival, Féile Derry, has launched its biggest-ever programme of events, featuring music, family gatherings, award-winning films, discussions, sport, exhibitions, older people’s events and much more.
Mayor of Derry City and Strabane District Council Grace Uí Niallais officially launched this year’s programme at the Guildhall. It includes more than 150 events taking place across the Bogside, Brandywell, Creggan and Fountain neighbourhoods and the city centre.
Mayor Grace Uí Niallais said:
“I’m really pleased to launch the Féile 2026 programme, which includes an incredible line-up of more than 150 events taking place across the city in August.
“Féile is one of the most exciting celebrations in the summer schedule and a perfect example of the positive change being delivered in our communities. I am delighted that it continues to get bigger.
“This year’s programme is absolutely jam-packed with entertainment and fun for people of all ages to enjoy. There is something for everyone.
“Féile is leading the way in bringing people from all communities together and creating opportunities to showcase everything that is great about our neighbourhoods and the people who live in them.
“Derry is bursting with talent, creativity and energy, and events like Féile help showcase this to the world and allow our city to unleash its full potential.
“I want to wish the team at Féile Derry every success for this year’s festival, and I hope everyone attending the events has a fantastic time.”
